A Very Sentimental Gift Idea

Tools seem to reflect a collection of how you work, what you do and what you love.  To part with them and pass them down can almost feel like a sign of confidence and trust.

My son has an old monster of a Vise that was secured to my father’s workbench forever; who knows how old it was when it was given to my dad.

If you haven’t used many of your tools in a long time and need a memorable gift for a child, grandchild, etc., why not shine up some of those old pieces?  Buy a sturdy handheld toolbox, and fill it up with those memories of craftsmanship.

Maybe even attach some tags that could tell a little story about why it was purchased, what you used it for or even better, who may have passed it down to you.

You might have a hard time parting with your collection, because you’re reminded of the diligent, passionate work you once did with them.  However, it’s a wonderful, heartfelt gift, one that will never be forgotten and even maybe passed along to future generations.

The real gift here belongs to you, because you get to decide who gets them and witness the enjoyment and pride you’ve passed on.

Below I have placed some links to some items that could help you create this memory.
