It’s Not Old-Fashioned To Want To Be Pursued

There’s nothing old-fashioned about wanting to be pursued.  If past relationships have failed or even if several have failed, you’re not alone.  Otherwise there wouldn’t be so many lost love songs.  Perhaps a refreshment of some older, wiser attitudes might be a good way to nurture your next relationship.

Love doesn’t thrive in chaos. It grows in consistency, kindness, patience, and integrity.

It’s something deeper than tradition.  These qualities were once natural not because people were perfect, but because values mattered.

When dating is approached with integrity, restraint, and purpose, it becomes less about personal gain and more about stewardship of emotions, time and one another.

In a culture that often rushes intimacy and minimizes commitment, old-fashioned dating encourages us to pause, pray, and discern. It reminds us that love is not meant to be hurried or careless, but thoughtful and rooted in respect.  It reflects biblical principles that have stood the test of time.

When we date with intention and faith, we invite God into the process; not just as an observer, but as a guide.  In doing so, we open the door for relationships that are not only meaningful, but lasting.

1 Corinthians 13:4 (NIV)
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not pro
ud”
